Session 1 — Elder Mike Simpson discusses how he came to be involved with Peacemaker Ministries and covers material from the Peacemaker Seminar workbook page 5, "How do people typically respond to conflict?" using The Slippery Slope illustration and briefly talks about the Four G's: A God-Centered Response to Conflict on page 4 of the workbook.
Session 2 — Pastor Timothy Hoke offers a few autobiographical examples of responses to conflict then discusses and expounds upon part One: Glorify God of the Peacemaker Seminar workbook where he works through Understanding Conflict page 3 and wraps up the session with further discussion of the Four G's: A God Centered Response to Conflict.
October 15, 2005
Session 1 — Elder Mike Simpson expounds the Gospel as the key to staying on top on the Slippery Slope and as the power behind Peacemaking Responses. Pastor Timothy Hoke returns to continue part One: Glorify God and talks about how conflict provides christians with opportunities to glorify God, serve other people, and grow to be like Christ.
Session 2 — Elder Mike Simpson takes us to scripture to learn to "Get the Log Out Of Our Own Eye", an exposition of the second of the Four G's.
Session 3 — Working through part Three: Gently Restore of the Peacemakers Seminar workbook, Pastor Timothy Hoke explores the question "How can I lovingly serve others by helping them take responsibility for their contribution to this conflict?"
Session 4 — Elder Mike Simpson engages the audience in a review of the Four G's, Opportunities in Conflict, and the Seven A's of Confession. He then covers part Four: Go and Be Reconciled of the Peacemaker Seminar workbook which tackles the question, "How can I demonstrate the
forgiveness of God and encourage a reasonable solution to this conflict?"
